And despite the Blues making direct contact with De Bruyne, Hecking remains confident that the Belgian will not depart for the Etihad this year.
'Kevin is a player the world wants,' the 50-year-old told Sky Sports News.
'I think he will stay for a minimum one more year at Wolfsburg.'
