Mario Gotze claims that there is "nothing" in rumours that he is considering swapping Bayern Munich for Juventus this summer in a bid to get more game time.
The 23-year-old featured 48 times for Pep Guardiola's men last season but there remains the perception that he is not considered a starter in the coach's best XI.
Gotze told Goal of his admiration for the Scudetto holders on Saturday as links with them continued, though Guardiola soon insisted that the forward is part of his plans.
Looking to silence the speculation, Gotze said to Bild: "Regarding the rumours that I want to change clubs, there's no truth in them."
The Germany international also responded to the ridicule that he has received for being quoted by Chinese news agency Xinhua as saying that he "likes Chinese food, especially sushi" - a Japanese cuisine.
"I said that, yes, but they missed out the second part," he added, before claiming that the full quote was: "I like Chinese food, especially sushi so Japanese food and Asian food in general."
Gotze was one of the few members of Bayern's squad who did not feature for in their 4-1 win against Valencia the first of their three pre-season matches in China.
Bayern are back in action on Tuesday against fellow European heavyweights Inter, with their competitive campaign kicking off on August 1 in a DFL-Supercup encounter with Wolfsburg.
