The Italian outfit were believed to be considering suing the Premier League champions after loanee Salah refused to attend training despite the two parties already extending his temporary deal by 12 months.
But, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Viola will avoid taking legal action if they can secure 19-year-old Loftus-Cheek on a loan deal.
Loftus-Cheek has represented England U21 and, despite only making three first team appearances since his debut in December 2014, has attracted the attention of several elite clubs.
