Arsene Wenger is ready to offload up to six of his Arsenal stars in order to fund his next moves in this summer’s transfer market.
The French boss has already signed Petr Cech from Chelsea in an £11m deal but is concerned with the size of the Gunners’ squad and wage bill this summer.
That said, Wenger is looking to add a central midfielder and a striker to his ranks this summer, his immediate concern is with trimming the size of his squad and he’s ready to sell up to six stars.
The likes of Lukas Podolski, David Opsina, Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Flamini, Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo are believed to be must under threat, according to reports.
Wenger is not expecting to receive huge transfer fees for any of the six that could be leaving but it would significantly reduce the Gunners’ wage bill, which would allow them to press on with their next targets.
