Spanish radio station Cadena SER has dropped a scary update on Sunday night regarding the likelihood that Paul Pogba will leave Juventus to join Manchester United this summer.
It’s worth starting out by saying that as the Pogba deal continues to play out, there have been various contradicting reports about how the negotiations are going.
Some have said that Pogba has already agreed terms with Man United, while the sticking point in the deal relates either to image rights, or the cut agent Mino Raiola will get out of the deal.
However, Cadena SER now report that a hold up in the deal could be down to Pogba’s own preferences.
Real Madrid > Man United
The story told by the Spanish radio station is that Pogba would rather join the 2015-16 Champions League winners Real Madrid than Man United, who will compete in the Europa League this season.
In a significant point, Cadena SER also claim that it’s Mino Raiola who is angling for the Man United deal.
The suggestion is that the agent is purely motivated for profit.
Cadena SER tail off their update noting that the only way Real Madrid would be able to sign Pogba would be if Los Blancos first raised capital by selling James Rodriguez.
