Manchester United striker James Wilson channeled his inner Dennis Bergkamp by recreating the Dutch striker’s famous turn while playing for the Under-21s this week.
Wilson, still just 19, has found first team opportunities hard to come by this season after breaking into Louis van Gaal’s squad during last year’s Premier League campaign, but the man in charge is still reluctant to let the Englishman leave on loan.
‘Wilson is the natural successor [replacement] for Martial,’ Van Gaal told the club website .
‘He needs to play. However, Manchester United’s interests are always higher than individual interests, so I have doubts about letting him go.
‘Maybe we will have to wait until December to see how it is with our club,’ he added.
Thr England Under-21 striker hasn’t complained about his current situation, though – instead he has been doing his best to work his way back into the squad by scoring against Everton Under-21s and pulling off this incredible turn:
