After weeks, months and what feels like years of transfer rumours linking Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema with a move to north London finally quashed by the Frenchman via Twitter this week Wenger is left with Giroud, Walcott and an injured Welbeck for the season.
All the aforementioned names have, at some point in their Arsenal careers, been heavily criticised for under performing when it comes to football’s crucial aspect… scoring goals.
Edinson Cavani and Aleksandr Kokorin are the latest names that will undoubtedly fall into the ‘forwards Arsene Wenger missed out on’ category when the window closes on next week.
