Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is wary of the threat that will be posed by a talented Swansea side in their fixture at the Liberty Stadium, but is hopeful of seeing an improvement from his own team after losing home and away against the Welsh club in 2014/15.
"I don't want to lose again," van Gaal matter of factly told MUTV.
Swansea were victorious at Old Trafford in the Dutchman's very first Premier League game in charge last August and beat United again when the teams met in south Wales a few months later.
A little over a year on from that opening day, van Gaal is keen to the see the clear signs of improvement following 12 months worth of building.
"The first match that I played was against Swansea and we lost and now I have to play my 50th match and I hope we can show our fans that we have improved, because that is the main thing," he explained.
"Last year we lost all the points against Swansea and I always want improvement from my team and my players. I hope we can show that.
"It's the only club we could not beat or gain one point against (last season)," van Gaal added. "It's a difficult team for us and before my period it was also difficult for United so I hope we can improve and that we can show that we are better than last year."
Discussing the qualities of Garry Monk's team, who have started the new campaign with a win and two draws, van Gaal continued, "Swansea are a very good team, they play a positional game like we do.
"They want to build up and have a good attack with speed and creativity. They proved they are a good team this season in the draw against Chelsea and against Newcastle and when I see the individual players I see that they have quality.
"You (the media) spoke about Montero, but they also have Andre Ayew, Bafetimbi Gomis and Gylfi Sigurdsson who have creativity. They are a difficult team to beat, especially away."
