It was always likely Manchester United would sign a central defender this summer and all of a sudden it appears Sergio Ramos is the man who could bolster their backline.
Previously Mats Hummels and Nicolas Otamendi had been the main men linked with a switch to Old Trafford but now it’s the Spanish superstar who could move in a reported €65million deal from Real Madrid.
The reports are emerging after Ramos was claimed to be unhappy his contract had been allowed to run into its final two years, while no improvement on his wages had been forthcoming.
