According to The Guardian, talks have begun over a new contract for Klopp, whose current deal runs until 2018 and includes an option of a further year.
The Stuttgart-born coach arrived in Merseyside in October to replace Brendan Rodgers after spending seven years in charge of Borussia Dortmund, where he won two Bundesliga titles.
Liverpool finished eighth in the Premier League last season, meaning that they will not play any European football in the upcoming campaign.
Klopp has sealed four signings so far as Liverpool manager, bringing in Marko Grujic, Joel Matip, Loris Karius and Sadio Mane.
