Manchester United star Angel Di Maria, who joined the Old Trafford club last summer for a British transfer record fee of £59.7m], has been consistently linked with a summer exit from the club, with PSG and Bayern Munich holding a serious interest in the Argentinian international winger.
With rumours running rife over the former Real Madrid winger's future, further doubt has been cast into his fate with United manager Louis van Gaal admitting "I don't know where Di Maria is", in a interview on Thursday morning.
Van Gaal, however, refused to discuss Blanc's comments when asked about them: "I don't know because I'm not the same manager as Laurent Blanc. I don't want to answer these questions. With Manchester United, we shall announce something when it is already done and not when it isn't done, because it's a process. I have said that many times. We will have to wait and see and I don't want to interfere."
Di Maria made 33 appearances for the Red Devils last season, contributing a disappointing four goals and 12 assists, after initially setting the Premier League alight in the opening fixtures of the season.
