Chelsea Captain John Terry has claimed that England International Raheem Sterling is worth the £50m price-tag placed on him by Liverpool.
The 20-year-old is subject of two rejected bids from Manchester City as the Anfield side expects a £50m bid to make the deal see the light of day which has been criticized by a lot of football observers which includes former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.
However, Terry leapt to the defence of Sterling, who has fallen out of favour with Liverpool fans as he seeks a move away from the club.
"I know Raheem has been taking a bit of stick recently, but I was extremely impressed by him and how good he was," Terry told TalkSPORT.
"There is a market for the English players. With the rules and regulations everyone needs them in their squad to qualify, that puts more on the price tag."
Terry helped Chelsea win the premier league this season beating former Champions Manchester City by as much as eight points.
